What about the Iran calender being the Oldest Calender on the face of the Earth?

Since the Iran Calender runs out on December 21st 2012; and it is the oldest one on the Earth. What are we going to do make another one.

I do not know if what you are saying is right, but at least the jewish calendar and babylonian calendar actually existed before the persian calendar and I think the latter one is actually a predecessor of the persian calendar. In fact, the roman calendar and the persian calendar have much in common and that’s because they were developed at the same time with similar astrological knowledge. The Djalali calendar we use today in Iran is a development of later periods of maybe the years 800-900 A.D.

BTW, the calendar which is going to run out in 2012 is the Mayan calendar, and I think it will mark a new epoch in their system.( Their calendar must be periodic. Isn’t it? )
