Well Well Well..Putin 'may seek 2012 re-election' What do you think of this!?

Putin has said he expects to remain an influential figure in Russian politics after he steps down next March.

Speaking to Western journalists and academics, he did not rule out standing for president again in 2012
SAN FRANCISCO SENTINEL
This Age Ends in 2012 on the Winter Solstice-
The last 100 years or so has been the bloodiest, the most tragic, in all of history, and that is saying a lot. Never before have we had weapons of mass destruction that can virtually wipe out humanity: nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons. These weapons are proliferating into the hands of terrorists and those states that support them, and recombinant DNA technology can potentially create even more deadly germ warfare agents
So we have the lovely prospect of China and Russia locked in mortal combat, and the United States, with its central states turning into a dust bowl, barely able to feed its own people. In a global competition for survival between large and small nuclear powers
Thoughts?

actually russia and china are buddying up. russia has oil and gas; china wants it. russia doesn’t want to be dependent on the european market, there will be no conflict between them. more people have died from peanut allergies in europe in the past 10 years than terrorist attacks. as a matter of fact there has only been 2 successful attacks in europe and 1 in the US in the past 10 years. you see what you want to see.

Awefully dreary outlook. More the reason to value whats important in life, your family, friends and find small ways to spread joy.

Putin scares me anyway. Wasn’t his term up in 2006? Didn’t he change legislation so he could remain president another term?

I would be more convinced of the whole end times thingy if GW were able to rerun in 2012

Thoughts? Several.
1. This ‘age’ doesn’t end in 2012. That was a Mayan calendar and that’s simply when they stopped calculating.
2. The last 100 years has NOT been the bloodiest in history. READ some history before you say something so utterly ridiculous.
3. We have the prospect of Russia and China at war? Where? When did this happen? Did I miss the morning paper?
4. I know you’re YEARNING for an end to the world, but really, the rest of us aren’t, ok? Get a life, a clue and a chocolate bar. Not necessarily in that order.

You are too pessimistic because you are living by sight. Things in the natural world are controlled by things in the spiritual world. Most of the stuff we worry about never happens. The bible reveals thousands of promises from God which we are to accept by faith for them to manifest in our lives. Read about Abraham,Job, and the gospels.

I can’t decide if you are tragically funny or tragically sad. It is a dark and fearful world your paranoia has put you in.

My thoughts are that you should take your meds and forget about 2012.
