Speaker: Professor Ralph Chou, University of Waterloo, and RASC Toronto Centre From the Transit of Venus 2012 Symposium, held Saturday 28 April 2012 at the University of Toronto. The transit of Venus is a rare astronomical event where Venus, as seen from Earth, passes across the face of the sun. This Symposium provided scientific, historical, cultural, artistic, and educational perspectives for the 5 June 2012 transit of Venus, the last one visible during the 21st century.
