Earlier today CNN confirmed the story that counting of the Iowa caucus has been moved to a secret location away from the eyes of anybody who could check to make sure that its accurate. Can the Tea Party survive the 2012 elections or have we learned that lesson yet?

Since absolutes have worked in dictatorships pretty badly in the past, should we not send these clowns packing? Then work on the entire GOP party?

Realistically, when does the GOP stand a chance of regaining power?

I’ve seen people say they will be back in 2010 or 2012, but it sounds like sports fans blindly cheering for their team. I’ve not heard a reason why except "because the other guy will fail," which there is no way to predict.

Historically, the party having to defend the most seats will usually lose a few in a midterm election. The Democrats have more house seats to defend, so the GOP could gain some ground in 2010, but not much. On the other hand, Republicans who came to power in 2004 on Bush’s coattails will have to defend their Senate seats–there are more GOP seats up than Democrats in 2010.

As of 2008, 36% of registered voters are NOT white. This number will only increase with each subsequent election. If Republicans are content to complain about how the liberals only want to help minorities, how do they expect to win without tapping into that portion of registered voters? Not to mention not reaching out to gay or urban voters at all?

For the sake of the GOP, is there any strategy or movement afoot to address 100% of the voters, or do people really believe they can survive with only appealing to evangelicals, white southerners, and fiscal conservatives?

Will the bill presenting "cut, cap, and balance" pass the liberal senate and the President?

Sounds to me as not a bad plan to make the American people aware just how much Obama is willing to show serious leadership..!. No need to negotiate anything. The House will most likely pass what they want and leave it to the liberals in the Senate and Obama to figure out what they want.
Have a conference committee and put the pressure upon the President and the liberal Senate.
If the GOP or some party doesn’t deal with democrats now, it may very well be too late for "regime change" in 2012. It is very obvious to anyone paying even slight attention that the country is going to h*ll. The debt ceiling debate is turning into a war to save the country. In a war, you just can’t put the battles to be fought on hold — it doesn’t work that way because the enemy will keep on advancing! Make no mistake, America is in a war and if the heart and soul of the country are to survive, America needs to fight it NOW! Remember this President won the 2008 election and never kept any campaign promises – then he bully’s [ not through congress but through -executive order] his way along his own path without regard for taxpayer citizens, or consider what they truly want.
Obama turns a 0B deficit (Bush’s) into a TRIL one and then refuses to reduce spending by an amount equal to or greater than the requested debt ceiling increase, telling Cantor "Don’t call my bluff."→??→ Even if they cut .4TRIL, it’s over 10 years,so what good is 0B per year when the deficit is TRIL? And Obama is so indignant about it. He, not Bush owns this sad economy.
And the cut,cap and balance the budget bill is the only reasonable one being advanced.

Ah→Sorry, but where I now live Fox News is not available.
Politically speaking it would not make the Senate and President [ both liberal ] look kinda not serious ].→Look at "no unions" answer..the statistics…and it becomes very clear that the proposed bill is very reasonable.
OMG!→Yeah, White Flag..I mean a Nuclear one to boot!..Really..get serious><

Will the GOP have the guts to kick out members who voted for the climate change bill?

Generally I’m for firing all incumbants who contributed to this current mess by supporting Fannie & Freddie while in denial (Barney Frank now claims he never defended them, it was all Bush’s fault they failed, but unlike him, CSPAN video don’t lie), voting for the stimulus or now the climate change bill. That is why the left keeps attacking the TEA parties and trying to paint them as all racists or suspected terrorists or something, they fear Nov. 2010 and 2012, that our memories might survive the propaganda onslaught. But will the GOP, which has the climate change issue right, (man made global warming is a hoax, google or youtube the solar cycle/sunspot number and compare factual weather records, not the cherry picking or averages used by both global cooling and warming proponents), so will they oust Bono, Castle, Kirk, Lance, Lobiondo, Mchugh, Reichert and Smith, or be stupid once again and let the disaffected voters do it for them?

Are conservatives less self-actualized than liberals.?

It seems like the conscious of conservatives dwell in the lower, survival based human needs while the liberals concentrate on the higher more evolutionary advanced self-actualizing needs.

Evidence–much of the conservative framing is centered around FEAR–fear of bankruptcy from the GOP created debt, Fear of terrorists from the GOP created wars, FEAR of Democrats winning again in 2012, etc.

If Donald Trump runs as independent will Obama win the election? Could Obama make the 2012 prophecy a reality?

How many people would vote for Trump as an independent instead of whoever the GOP candidate would be?

It would suck if Obama got the election because of that. The Mayans Calendar conspiracy theory of the world ending in 2012 could be true if Obama is re-elected.

The liberals could make the 2012 Mayan Calender prediction a reality! By either:

A) Obama, doing what liberals and socialists throughout history do best, trying to control agriculture and have people starve to death due to improper rationing….People going so freaking crazy that they kill themselves due to all of the psych meds that they are on, since the hippies won and everyone is now on drugs.

B) Obama’s friendly approach towards terrorists leading to a rogue terrorist state like Iran, North Korea, or a psychopath 3rd world dictator obtaining nuclear weapons,

Terrorists like Al Qaeda succeed in overthrowing a country in Middle East with nukes and use them to start world war 3/Nuclear winter

Obama pisses off another power like Pakistan and they hand out nukes to terrorists

What possible reason could the GOP have for trying to end life as we know it on the planet?

The top 5 recommendations from the earth policy institute to save our planet from certain doom and assure survival of the species are in direct opposition to the GOP agenda.

1 Sustain population growth
GOP position: Staunchly against all forms of birth control, early terminations/abortion, even the morning after pill. They are of the… go forth and multiply… sect.

2 Sustain global warming
GOP Position: What global warming?

3 Lessen fossil fuel use
GOP position: burn fuel, coal, gas, whatever you got, forget cap n trade, and if you don’t like that – go nuclear!

4 Conserve the earths resources
GOP position… as I recall is…" drill baby drill "

5 Eradicate starvation and poverty on the planet…
OK I’ve stopped laughing..
GOP position: "This is my money which I made the hard way {screwing someone (usually millions) with some dubious investment, scam or product no one really needs and is probably harmful – but hey this is capitalism baby so bite it} and I am keeping it!

Go to their site and check this out yourself.
I find these facts alarming and I wonder how many people will realize the larger implications of their 2012 vote?

Why does the Republican party seem hell bent on sabotage of the planet? Anybody?
mike baloney is bad for you
and the right is not always right
abortion is bad but the collateral damage of war, wiping out whole families and villages at once, this is pretty bad too
but it is ok with the hideous Ann Coulter and the charming but misinformed, Bill O’Reilly (who flirted with me in a Miami restaurant)
many people here are ostriches, not living breathing human souls but pathetic extensions of their dusty keyboards…..
sheeplover – That’s right. You got it! And God still loves the heck out of me too…go figure.
