Gun People, I need your opinion on this, Please?

I am at a dilemma with my next gun, and I’m at a loss of what is best and what I won’t regret buying.
It would be great if I can buy everything but its way too expensive.

I have a .500 S&W Magnum rifle, a single shot H&R Handi Rifle.
500 S&W Magnum ammunition has become extremely affordable for me to shoot. I reload/handload my ammunition, and buying in bulk dropped the cost per round down to about 30 cents per round. Actually I don’t buy brass, which is how its 30 cents a round and not (like everyone else).

I want a .500 S&W Magnum revolver, due to its 14 price tag it would take me a whole year to save up that much. Just in time for my 24th Birthday, August 2012.

the problem is there’s also a .460 S&W Magnum revolver. why is this a problem is because it’s also a very powerful handgun hunting caliber, very big revolver, just as shiny, and just as impressive to own. It also costs a few hundred bucks less, shoots a more practical caliber, and bullets & brass are much easier to find. Plus, on a survival side, it can also shoot 45 Colt and 454 Casull.

There is also a H&R handi rifle barrel in .460 S&W Magnum. pretty inexpensive. I can just swap the barrels.

So what I’m asking is:
would it be worth it to get the 460 instead of the 500 revolver?
cons for 460 instead of 500:
– doesn’t hold the title as the most powerful production handgun in the world
– shoots the highest velocity production handgun caliber in the world
– less power than .500 S&W Magnum – pistol & rifle
– I would need to buy a new barrel for my rifle ()
– I will need new dies to load this caliber ()
– and I have no brass for this caliber, making ammo actually much more expensive than 500.
– also, no one sells 460 S&W Magnum ammo. not a big deal, I can get 45 colt & Casull instead.

pros for 460 over 500:
– can shoot different calibers (cool but I probably won’t do that)
– reloading bullets very easy to come by, and there’s alot of choice. also cheaper
– will get cheaper to shoot in the long run (but high initial costs)
– shoots flatter than 500, hunting game up to 200 yards and target over 300 yards
– revolver is about 0 less than the 500 revolver at 1300 bucks
– easy to clean (there’s not many .50 cal bore brushes around)
– its different (500 is also different, but 460 is more different)

Please give me you honest opinion on this, all opinions are welcome.
Thank you.
mostly I’m worried about the long term availability of .500 caliber bullets. there’s only Rainier that has inexpensive bullets, no one else has it. if they were to stop selling bulk ammo like that then I would be SOL.

Eat your heart out men, women think about survival too! So here it is this is my rendition of a bugout bag. I did not show my sleeping bag, 550 paracord, 6 person tent, wool blanket, or other tools as I have someone else as a partner bug outer to help lighten our loads.
