I need those egg cartons for the eggs and the bags to put said cartons into…lol. One great use for dirty egg cartons is to fill each cell with dryer lint to use as a firestarter. . Ive used the tp rolls filled with lint, as well. Youll want to cut an ‘x’ in the bottom of the egg cartons if you use them for seed propagation, otherwise the roots wont break through soon enough. Dont forget to add lumber to your list of items to have on hand. Buy mason jars…as many as possible!

@thedoctorisin24380 Doc – We have lint/wax fire starters, they’re just someone elses responsibility around here. I’m the “food person.” Egg cartons: I rough them up on concrete before use, but your “x” idea sounds much better, and if you don’t mind, I think I’ll try it! Lumber and mason jars cost money. I was trying to focus on things that we all have access to without having to spend money acquiring them. You ALWAYS have great comments and make me think. Thanks! -Deborah
