I think it would be a great excuse to plan a massive global party. Everybody get two days off, the bars stay open all night, and everyone has a great time. Who’s with me?
because ;many things predicted in the mayan calander did come true
it doesnt mean anything people are just weird
How can you dismiss such an obvious sign from a past civilization? What gives you the right to question something that was figured out and written down thousands of years ago?
Sigh, well at least you got the meaning part right. This has been asked so many times already, it’s nice to see some one that understands that a human sacrificing people that were barely out of the stone age would have no clue about the future.
Supposedly, when the Mayan calendar ends, we, as human beings will be "thrown" off course. We will be confused with what day it is and how to date things and such, then there is also the theory that the world may end… personally though, so what that it ends, it’ll just start up from the beginning again, or we’ll use the chinese calendar…
I am personally looking forward to the fall of Mayan civilization on that date.!!!
I also heard that Windows Vista will stop functioning on that day at 9:21 pm central standard time only on Dell and Gateway PCs.
It means that you do not have much time to get straight with God.
It means nothing to me. Nothing, that is, except that I will be glued to my radio because I want to hear Art Bell be totally disappointed when nothing happens.
All ilt means is that the Mayans did not have the technology to create an eternal calendar –
come to think of it, can we actually do this? We can’t count to infinity, so how could we create a calendar that encompasses eternity…?
It’s nothing to worry about.
They never really said if anything special was supposed to happen. Novelty Theory states that there will be a really big event then though.
It means a lot to me. My Mayan calendar is going to expire in five years. Where exactly, am I supposed to get a new one?
I think this is another misleading prophecy..
It means whatever you believe it means. It’s meaningless to me.
It is amazing and grievous how easily men see something prophetic in such a very ambiguous "prophecy," and how easily men put credence in religions or men that poses no real threat to their morality, while the Bible, which is far clearer and proven than others, is most only attacked, and Jesus rejected. Because they love sin more than Him. Sadly to their own eternal damnation.
Put it into context. 1) Global warming is real and worse than people think. 2) With the Patriot Act any sitting president now has the authority to do like Pakistan’s president and suspend ALL civil rights, suspend both the House and Senate all by declaring a "National Emergency". 3) The historical accuracy of the Mayan calendar
Oh, by the way the ending of the calendar does not mean the end of the world just the beginning of a new phase of life for the survivors.
I noticed that two people have given this a thumbs down. It just goes to show you that many people would rather ignore a problem than acknowledge it and do some thing.
Perhaps they know, something– prophetic that we don’t, it means a lot since they kept very accurate calendars.
