(The Big Bang) to Dec. 21, 2012. By this time, we will have supposedly consciously evolved to completeness to become co-creators with “HUNAB-KU”: It maps out “creation” if you will. Humans will be exposed to a cosmic energy that will facilitate enlightenment. In this state of higher consciousness, we will recognize that all matter, plant, animal, mineral are bound as one. This realization will mark the end of wars.

There is one more Mayan Calendar I could share with you called “The Nine Underworlds”. It is one of the more recently rediscovered calendars and may be the most important one, in so far as the 2012 prophecies are concerned. It is a calendar that has recorded the state of consciousness from the beginning of time

corresponds to 1,236,678 days since the close of the last Great Cycle. In the Calendar Round this corresponds to 5 Etznab 1 Zip. In articles where Long Count dates are given, you would see this date expressed in the shorthand notation 8.11.15.3.18. This date corresponds to Wednesday, July 9, 273 AD in the Gregorian calendar.

The Long Count was widely used in Mesoamerica in Classic and earlier times.

A long count of :

8 baktuns or 1,152,000 days
11 katuns or 79,200 days
15 tuns or 5,400 days
3 uinals or 60 days
18 kins or 18 days

. The sum of the number of days specified by this count yields the number of days passed since the beginning of the last Great Cycle. A great Cycle has a length of 13 baktuns. It is currently believed (according to the Thompson correlation) that the last Great Cycle began on 13 August 3114 BC (Gregorian calendar).

Long counts inscribed on Mayan monuments consist of the cycles shown above, listed from top to bottom in descending order of length, each with a numerical coefficient specifying the number of each unit in the date

20 kins equal 1 uinal or 20 days
18 uinals equal 1 tun or 360 days
20 tuns equal 1 katun or 7,200 days
20 katuns equal 1 baktun or 144,000 days

Quandary121

. It is a permutation count, like the Calendar Round, based on the Mayan visegismal numbering system. It differs from the pure use of the Mayan mathematical system in that a count of 18, instead of 20, in the second place, gives a unit of 360 days, close to a year. The short month of 5 days is eliminated to preserve the pure cyclic nature of the count. The long count cycles are:

It is after this, that the Mayans say we will be ready to go through the door that was left by them, transforming our civilization based on fear to a vibration much higher in harmony.

Quandary121
February 15, 2009

Based on their observations, the Mayans predicted that from the initial date of the start of their civilization, 4 Ahau, 8 Cumku which is 3113 B.C., after one cycle being completed 5,125 years in their future, December 21st, 2012. The Sun, having received a powerful ray of synchronizing light from the center of the galaxy, would change its polarity which would produce a great cosmic event that would propel human kind to be ready to cross into a new era, The Golden Age.

Quandary121

The Mayans believed the universal processes, like the ‘breathing’ of the galaxy, are cycles that never change. What changes is the consciousness of man that passes through it. Always in a process toward more perfection.

Quandary121
February 15, 2009

The Mayans knew that our Sun, or Kinich-Ahau, every so often synchronized with the enormous central galaxy. And from this central galaxy received a ‘spark’ of light which causes the Sun to shine more intensely producing what our scientists call ‘solar flares’ as well as changes in the Sun’s magnetic field. The Mayans say that this happens every 5,125 years. But also that this causes a displacement in the earths rotation, and because of this movement great catastrophes would be produced.

Quandary121

The Mayans prophesied that from 1999 we have 13 ears to realize the changes in our conscious attitude to stray from the path of self-destruction and instead move onto a path that opens our consciousness to integrate us with all that exists

This is a fantastic lecture!!! It clearly explains the Mayan Calendar in a way that wasn’t clear for me before.

From what I’ve heard, October 28th, 2011 is, by *our* calendar system, the accurate date for the ending of the Mayan long-count calendar system, as opposed to the Dec. 21st (or 22nd), 2012 that most people talk about. Don Alejandro (Google the name, if you want, & ignore the World of Warcraft game references) , a modern Mayan elder in Guatemala, and others, say it’s October 28th, 2011 for the end of the current Mayan calendar cycle.

Yes, although some say that the start of the current Mayan calendrical age, by *our* calendar system, started not in 3113 but in 3114 or 3115 B.C., and modern Mayan elders supposedly have said that the end point of the current cycle of the Mayan calendar is on October 28th, 2011 by our calendar system.
