Do you believe that there will be the apocalypse in 2012?

Some calendars and prophecies say that the world as we know it will end in 2012 from a catastrophic event (by "fire"). I wonder how many actually believe this.

The primary basis of this belief is the conclusion of the Mayan calendar. The misconception is that the end of this calendar prophecizes the end of the world…in reality it’s designed to cycle and simply resets at this point. For this reason I do not believe the world will come to an end at this point.

Well first off there have been so many prophecies that haven’t come true. Someone said the world was supposed to spiral down hill in 2000 Y2K. Second of all as far as the calendars go maybe they just ran out of space like the Mayan calendar for example.

Merry meet to you from sisters of the north. Blessings to you my friend I can sense that in the middle of the year 2012 (around july area) the economics of the U.S shall flourish and become greater than any other time. As the housing market shall become stronger and the nation shall rejoice for President Barack Obama as he prepare for his second term. But as for the predictions of the past….those shall not be. Blessings to you, Mirsada

The Mayan calender ends at 2012, I’m not sure if they specifically state it will end or it will end in fire. Many believe Nostradamus predicted armageddon in 2012, but he actually has predictions going into the 3000’s. As for the commonly misquoted Book of Revelation, nowhere does it say anything about 2012, but it does say in the Bible that "no one knows the date or the hour." So, if you’re worrying about the world ending in 2012, you can take a chill pill. I don’t think 2012 is any more threatening than Y2K turned out to be.

I dont really beileve it, but global warming is on the rise. You have to admit the few past years we have been getting ALOT more natural disasters than we got 20 years ago.
