2012 Mayan Prophecy and the Shift of the Ages

Is December 21, 2012 the end of the world as we know it? Climate change seems inevitable with countless hurricanes, earthquakes and innumerable disasters around the globe in recent years. What did the ancient Maya know and why did they place such significance on this date? As we near the final date of the Mayan Calendar, mankind must face what is perhaps the most difficult hurdle of all…a profound change in ourselves. This enigmatic film unveils the other side to the 2012 engima; * The Underlying Mystery of 2012 * The True Nature of Time * Current Evolution of the Human Mind Geoff Stray and Philip Coppens take us on a journey into the Mayan mysteries to uncover a startling perspective on 2012, the lost meaning of the great cycle of the ages. They challenge the doomsday prophets and argue that 2012 is not the apocalyptic end of times, it is in fact only the beginning. Time will never be the same again.

So they predicted their own demise, but did nothing to avert it?
It’s incredibly easy with hindsight to fit revelations to world events…Basically all of Nostrodamus’ predictions are true if you attempt to match them. Religions do the same thing, find a few points of reference and join the dots…Anyway, as we don’t know the nature of the disaster, there’s not much we can do to prepare, other than make awful movies about escaping earthquakes in a car.

@rogan71 The Mayans were believed to have a greater astrological understanding of the solar system than other countries in the world. They had no idea of other people in their world because they never left their own culture.

the calculations that dictate that the world will end in 2012 were wrong. According to the correct calculations, the world won’t end for another 200 years or so. and anyway, the chance that the world will end then is small. the mayans used a non-circular calender, a linear calender unlike us. they counted the days passed from one date. the world will not end.

the bible says there is only one god/he is the only god and all other gods are falce gods.the mayans belived in many many gods/they wrote a falce calander that had to end sometime and just happened to be 2012..so whos god [god] or take a pick outta the mayan temple…..?

@jon50316 …the bible is not the only holy book. there is the torah, the qu’ran, many many many many books…there are so many faiths and religions…spirituality is the most important thing that we, humankind, should worry about. religion is an important gateway to reach the unknown

it’s funny – 1988, 1999, 2000, 2012, 2014, 2029 all dates people think or thought it would all come to an end – what happens if we finally get it right? what happens if every human on earth dies 2012? who cares!?! we’ll all be dead! if it’s 2014 we’ll all be dead, if it’s 2029 we’ll all be dead, why is everyone so obsessed with the end date? so far no one has ever been right, & if someone does get it right we’ll all be dead anyway. I’d rather live today & not worry about it.

I hope somebody will have the guts to sue all those doomsday prophets. I can imagine that gullible people make the wrong decisions based on all this doomsday crap
